I paced the halls of Wammy's house, trying to figure out what to do. He was coming back this weekend, and I simply had to impress him. If I didn't it would mean that I had failed yet again.
No matter what, he didn't notice me. I tried and tried, but all he noticed was that damn A. I had to do better this time, had to get his attention, had to get his approval.
Somewhere inside me I knew it was a futile attempt. Somewhere, I knew he would never even glance at me.
I remembered the days when we would play together, as children. When he had brought me to Wammy's, though those days had vanished.
*** Flashback ***
Lawli came again, finding me on the streets as always. I had no home any longer. He brought my food, and a new blanket once in a while, anything he could sneak away from the orphanage he lived in. I appreciated it, but I appreciated him more.

I zoomed down the highway, trying to burn off some energy after a very trying day. Ryuzaki was Ryuzaki. I still hadn't recovered from the jam incident, and his crawling still made me shiver. I swore I could still taste that blasted sugar.
I sped up, going much faster than the law allowed. Still, the streets were not busy, and I swerved between cars, with little fear of consequences. After all, it was after dark, and the police had other things to worry about. So long as I didn't get in an accident, they wouldn't pay me any attention.
I came to an intersection. The light was green, and I sped up once again, pushing 70mph. I was planning on getting on the highway using the on-ramp just past this intersection, and was feeling the thrill of adrenalin when I entered the middle of the '+'.
Suddenly, a car came screeching from the other direction, going against the light, with no sign of stopping. It barreled toward me, and I knew instantly which vehicle would win in
